Welcome to THE LOFT, the AGO's new online community, and our special forum for Composers and Arrangers (but you don't have to be a composer or arranger to participate). This is a place to discuss ideas and share your works (and works-in-progress). You can share videos and files in both the discussion threads and in the community library. You're creative, so take a moment to play around with THE LOFT and see what's possible to stimulate our vibrant community of composers, arrangers, conductors, and performers.
To get started, take a moment to check out the Quick Start Guide (link in the navigation bar above) and learn more about the features of THE LOFT, search the member directory, and update your settings.
Privacy Settings: The membership directory can only be accessed by an AGO Member who logs into iMIS or THE LOFT. Some members may wish to opt out of the searchable member directory OR limit the types of information that is available, such as address, phone number, or email address. It is very easy to change these settings. Click on the profile icon in the navigation bar (circle with your initials). Within the My Account tab, select Privacy Settings. After that page loads, you can switch the blue button to NO to remove yourself completely, or change the settings for individual options. NOTE: All minors have automatically been Opted OUT of the membership directory.
Email Delivery Options: You can control the frequency of notifications you receive from THE LOFT:
- Instant Alerts - Real time messages as members engage in conversations.
- Daily Digest - A single email each day with the latest posts in your community.
- Weekly Digest - A single email delivered each Saturday morning with all the posts from your community.
- No Emails - Log in to THE LOFT each time to see the latest posts and respond.
We know there will be a learning curve and the amount of content and conversations will grow as more members are added to THE LOFT. Please be patient, and by all means, share any comments or suggestions with us at members@AGOhq.org.
